World Poetry Day 2022

To celebrate World Poetry Day, all the children in school learnt to recite a poem which we then performed in a special assembly at the end of the day.  It was lovely to see the children performing in front of an audience and appreciating each other’s performances. 

Nursery Children recited the poem, ‘What did the Farmer See?’ 

Reception children performed the poem, ‘The Giving Farm’ by Vicki Witcher.

Year 1 and 2 recited the poem, ‘Scissors’ by Allan Ahlberg.

Year 3 and 4 performed ‘Topsy Turvy World’ by William Brighty Rand

Year 5 and 6 performed ‘If’ by Rudyard Kipling
